Taipinggou National Nature Reserve is located in Luobei County, Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province. It is an important channel for the migration of large mammals between China and Russia. It has played an extremely important role in the spread of Russian cross-border tigers to Xiaoxinganling in China. The gateway area for the restoration of the regional wild Siberian tiger population.

From March to the present, the reserve has repeatedly recorded high-definition images of wild Siberian tigers through infrared cameras. In the picture, the physique Siberian tiger is leisurely patrolling the snow. It is reported that of the 4 wild Siberian tigers discovered this time, 2 of them have already lived in the "home" of the reserve, and have begun territory inspection activities. The other two have just passed through the border between Russia and the protected area.

The relevant person in charge of the Heilongjiang Taipinggou National Nature Reserve Administration said that this discovery proves that the ecological environment in the protected area is good and the food chain is abundant. In recent years, the Taipinggou National Nature Reserve Administration has continuously increased the protection of Siberian tigers and regularly carried out supplementary feeding to ensure that the Siberian tigers have sufficient hunting populations.

Since 2018, the reserve has completely withdrawn from the core area and the buffer zone of the cultivated land at once, and returned the forest and grass in a timely manner; in 2019, the reserve and the Feline Research Center of the State Forestry Administration launched A two-year Siberian tiger monitoring and habitat assessment.
