A study, conducted by researchers from the University of Hong Kong, revealed that the "Corona" virus can live on a medical face mask - the muzzle - for up to a week.
This study is supported by another published by the medical journal "Lancet", which called for dealing with great caution against used gags and correcting them properly, and not to touch them completely from outside.
According to the newspaper "South China Morning Post," the study found that "Covid-19 can settle for a long time in a favorable environment, but its elimination is possible by using common methods."
"On paper napkins, the corona remains for no more than 3 hours. On glass and banknotes it lives for 3 days. On stainless steel and plastic it remains for four to seven days," the researchers said in their report. "We also found that a certain level of the virus remains on the outer layer of the face mask after seven days," they added. And they continued, "For this reason, you should not touch the outside of the muzzle while wearing it or after removing it."
The medical respirators are witnessing unprecedented demand during the past days from different countries of the world, while opinions differ on them about who is better to wear them, when and where.
