Walls, floors, door handles are all potential vectors of the contagion of covid-19, believe some scientific studies. This is the reason why the French company Shark Robotics has adapted its remote-controlled robots to transform them into disinfection machines capable of cleaning premises with a surface area of 50,000 m2, in just three hours.

Publicity

The Shark Robotics company had already distinguished itself during the fire of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris when the firefighters had used its Colossus robot to carry out remote investigations on the monument which then threatened to collapse.

The company develops and assembles in its premises near La Rochelle several types of robot, two machines have just been modified to carry out decontamination missions. " Our goal is to provide a robotic solution to a health crisis that keeps people away from risk " explains Cyril Kabbarra, one of the founders of the company.

All the components of the machine have been patented and its effectiveness has been successfully proven in situations, in environments contaminated by another virus, H1N1, responsible for seasonal flu.

But as effective as it is, the Rhyno Protect is of imposing size, also, the company designed another smaller robot. AGV is suitable for cramped interiors with high traffic, such as hospital containment rooms.

On the other hand, like his big brother, he fulfills the same missions, those of fighting remotely against the Covid-19 virus without exposing human beings to danger.
