The coronavirus epidemic continues to kill, in New Aquitaine as elsewhere. According to the Regional Health Agency (ARS), 111 people died Saturday of Covid-19 in hospitals in the greater region, eleven more than the day before. This assessment does not include deaths in nursing homes or at home.

749 patients had to be hospitalized, 14 more than on Saturday, including 239 in intensive care or intensive care (+14). There were 32 more healings than the previous day, for a total of 553.

In addition, the ARS indicated that between March 21 and this Saturday, 84 patients from the Grand-Est region had been received in the intensive care units of New Aquitaine hospitals, "all in critical condition" .

"Fifteen patients can now breathe naturally or are in the process of weaning from artificial respiration" and one of them was transferred to another department to start his rehabilitation. "To date, there have been no deaths among these patients," specifies the ARS. For the 24 patients transferred on Friday 3 April, it is still too early to review their state of health. "
