Chiba Announces 14 newly infected men and women, infected 2600 on April 5, 21:00

Chiba Prefecture has announced that a new coronavirus infection has been newly confirmed in 14 men and women from their teens to their 70s.

There are 14 people in total.

Among them, a nursery woman in Higashisho Town had a fever on the 31st of last month and a virus test on 3rd of this month confirmed the infection. The woman reported that she had been working at a nursery school in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture for three days because the fever had fallen after her symptoms had appeared. The nursery school contacted the guardians of the children about the infection. The woman is said to have stable symptoms, but she is pregnant and hospitalized at a medical facility in the prefecture.

Also, at a Yamato Transport branch in Matsudo City, two drivers were confirmed infected three days, and the prefecture conducted an inspection of more than 50 employees working in the same branch with two family members of five. It means that 6 people were infected. Three of them had symptoms such as fever, but now they are stable and the other three have no symptoms.

The prefecture will continue to examine the behavioral history of infected people and conduct health observations of contacts.

On May 5, Chiba, Funabashi, and Kashiwa also announced a total of 11 cases of infection, and a total of 25 infected cases were identified in Chiba Prefecture on the 5th.

With this, 260 people were confirmed infected in Chiba Prefecture.
