On Saturday, at least 2,028 deaths linked to the coronavirus had been noted in France in nursing homes and other medico-social establishments, out of a total of 7,560 victims of Covid-19 in the country. The Occitanie regional health agency (ARS) has communicated its figures: of the 828 nursing homes in the greater region, "167 reported an episode concerning one or more cases of Covid-19 confirmed or possible".

#Coronavirus] To date, 3,338 positive tests carried out in #Occitanie. 1,001 people are hospitalized (326 in intensive care). There are 149 deaths in health establishments but also 730 people returning home.

A total of 602 residents have been affected and 39 deaths "possibly linked" to the epidemic since the outbreak started. However, the ARS indicates that this assessment is only partial, because not all the Ehpad have returned their figures. In addition, "a dozen additional deaths have been reported directly to ARS Occitanie previously and are being integrated into the database".

This assessment is to be added to that of deaths observed in hospitals in the region. On Saturday, it was 149 dead, 16 more than Friday.

On the other hand, the number of hospitalizations linked to the coronavirus was slightly down (1,001 against 1,013 the previous day), even if six more patients were in intensive care (326 against 320). Finally, 730 people were able to return to their homes, 56 more than on Saturday.
