According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a 23-year-old female police officer at the Akasaka Police Station in Minato-ku, Tokyo was confirmed to have been infected with the new coronavirus.

He visited a hospital complaining of sore throat and fever on the 31st of last month and was initially diagnosed with a cold, but after recuperating at home, he visited another medical institution and underwent a PCR test. It was confirmed positive on the 4th.

The female police officer was in the Criminal Affairs Division and worked with the Investigation Division 1 in the Investigation Headquarters.

The Metropolitan Police Department has decided to disinfect the police station and take over 60 staff members working together from 4th. No police officer has ever reported any symptoms other than a female police officer.
