Kyoto Confirmed 7 new infections, 6 of whom were unknown. New corona Apr. 5, 1:11

Kyoto City has announced that seven new cases have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus. The number of infected people in Kyoto increased by 10 people a day to 116 people.

Seven new cases of infection have been confirmed in Kyoto, including men and women in their 20s and 70s who live in the city. Of these, the man in his 50s is a doctor at Mitsubishi Kyoto Hospital in Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto. The hospital will stop outpatient care and emergency patient treatment for 5 to 3 days.

The man in his twenties was employed by the Kyoto City Fire Department this spring, and on January 1 he had a 38-degree fever at the fire school he entered, and was on standby at home.

According to Kyoto City, six out of seven people do not know the route of transmission.

On the other hand, Kyoto Prefecture announced on May 5 that two men and women living in Ide-cho and three men in Kizugawa have been infected.

Of these, two in Ide-cho are family members of an exchange meeting attended by Kyoto Sangyo University students who are experiencing outbreaks. The number of infected people in and around university students has risen to 71 in at least 13 prefectures.

To date, 116 people have been infected in Kyoto Prefecture, 22 of whom have been discharged.
