On April 3, 18 horses in Tacheng, Xinjiang fell into the quagmire due to drinking water. Firefighters from the Fire Rescue Detachment, Tacheng District, Xinjiang, rescued the horses after nearly three hours of rescue.

As the snow melted in the spring, the horses were trapped in a huge sand pit, sinking deeper and deeper. Firefighters at the Tacheng and Meilu Fire and Rescue Stations in Xinjiang discovered a total of 18 horses in the quagmire through topographic observation and on-site survey. Among them, 16 were near the shore and 2 were in the center of the quagmire.

Firefighters and the masses used the pontoon and tractor rope towing, and after nearly three hours of intensive rescue, all 18 horses were rescued ashore. (Reporter Zhao Yamin correspondent Song Jianwei Zhang Kaifeng editor Lu Jie)
