"Fireman asshole get out of here you can't see you're contaminating the whole building A". "Shit firefighter." Stayed at home. Anyway, we all got tired. Shit shit ”. Two firefighters from Hérault received anonymous messages with insults and threats related to their function.

20 Minutes reproduces here some extracts. We have chosen to voluntarily leave the spelling errors which shed light on the personality of the authors of these letters.

It is clearly their dedication to the fight against the spread of the coronavirus that is targeted and attacked by the authors of these anonymous letters. These messages were posted on the door or put in the mailbox of two fire soldiers in two separate towns. The facts do not seem to be linked.

76,000 interventions per year

The controller general of Sdis 34 (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Hérault) filed a complaint "for these very serious acts while our country is going through the greatest health crisis of the century [...]. We will never accept any attempt at intimidation or threats […] and we will publicly denounce the perpetrator (s) when they are unmasked and clearly identified ”.
