Reinforcement of teams

Faced with a grumbling of unions, the Post announced on March 23 that it would significantly reduce the airfoil to focus on "essential missions" by providing fewer services, making fewer rounds and reducing its network to 1,600 offices. But, under pressure, the public group had finally indicated Wednesday that it would reinforce its teams to distribute more often the press, the mail and the parcels. The objective is to find in sensitive areas and rural areas a presence proven by the coronavirus.

To return to these areas, La Poste wants to reopen in the week of April 6 400 offices usually manned by a "postman-clerk" (a postman who maintains the office in addition to his tour) and 600 additional offices in the week after Easter. Some 1,000 out of 6,500 municipal postal agencies have also been kept open. Finally, La Poste has already announced that 250 additional post offices - or 1,850 post offices in all - will be open during the week of April 4 to 10 for the payment of social benefits.
