Kyoto Prefecture has announced that it has been newly confirmed that seven women in their 20s and 50s are infected with the new coronavirus. Six of them are related to the family members of Kyoto Sangyo University students who have been affected by the outbreak and participants in the exchange meeting attended by the students.

Infection was confirmed in seven women in their 20s and 50s living in Joyo City, three women in their 40s living in Ide Town, and one woman in their 50s living in Uji City. , According to Kyoto Prefecture, all are asymptomatic or mild.

Of these, three women in Joyo City are family members of a student at Kyoto Sangyo University who had been confirmed infected after participating in a seminar farewell party held on March 19.

The three women in their forties were at a social gathering held in Ide-cho last month on the 23rd of the month when the infected student attended.

On the other hand, women in their 50s have had symptoms such as headaches and sluggishness since 28th of last month. The route of transmission is unknown.

Kyoto Sangyo University's students and the number of infected people around it totaled 63 in 12 prefectures.

In addition, 95 people were confirmed to be infected in Kyoto Prefecture, two of which were seriously ill.
