The defendant knew that the victim was a medical staff who assisted Hubei. He purchased medical masks and other anti-epidemic materials for the prevention and control of the epidemic situation in Hubei. The court held that the act was of a bad nature and should be severely punished according to law. In the end, the defendant was sentenced to 8 months in prison for fraud and fined 6,000 yuan.
On the day the case was pronounced, the nurse was unable to reach the scene because the nurse was still supporting in Hubei. After the trial, the judge also dialed the phone of the deceived nurse to inform her about the verdict, so that she was assured of working on the front line.
