Kyoto Prefecture has announced that one man in his 60s in Uji has been newly infected with the new coronavirus.

The infection was confirmed in a man in his 60s who lives in Uji City, and according to Kyoto Prefecture, is a family member of a staff member of the Idemachi government office in his 20s who has already been infected.

The man complained of pain in his throat during the day, but there were no symptoms such as fever or cough, and it was mild.

In Kyoto Prefecture, a group of infected people called "clusters" has emerged, mainly from students at Kyoto Sangyo University. The infection is spreading to the population.

Kyoto Sangyo University students and the number of infected people in the vicinity have been confirmed in 11 prefectures such as Kyoto Prefecture, Wakayama Prefecture, and Shiga Prefecture. As of 5:00 pm on the 2nd, 46 people were infected.

In addition, 77 people have been confirmed infected in Kyoto. According to Kyoto Prefecture, three of them are severely ill.
