The opportunity to enjoy live cherry blossoms in full bloom at Seokchon Lake is available online.

Yesterday (1st), Songpa-gu, Seoul announced that it will carry out 'broadcast cherry blossoms' as a way to practice high-intensity social distance.

On the 17th of last month, Songpa-gu canceled the Seokchon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival, which was scheduled to be held in early April to prevent the spread of Coronavirus Infection-19 (Corona 19), and closed the entrance to Seokchon Lake.

However, we prepared a new event to soothe the disappointment of tourists and residents at home and abroad who have been waiting for the cherry blossom outing. I decided to conduct a total of nine live streams that show vivid views of Seokchon Lake.
There are two types of programs: 'Cherry Blossom Walk' and 'Cherry Blossom Live'. 'Cherry Blossom Walk' is a video of various views of Seokchon Lake at the viewer's eye level, giving viewers the feeling of walking on a promenade. 'Cherry Blossom Live' is a video that allows you to enjoy the view of cherry blossoms from various angles along with the reporter's lively explanation.

Park Seong-soo, director of Songpa-gu Park, introduced the purpose of this event, saying, "The cherry blossom relay in the corner was designed to solve the hearts, depression, anxiety, and lethargy of the citizens contracted by the prolongation of Corona 19." In addition, he said, "I look forward to the spring day to restore my daily life and will actively participate in 'high-strength social distance'."

The 'Cherry Blossom Relay Relay', which started on the 29th of last month, has 5 episodes until the 12th. You can watch it through YouTube, Facebook, and Songpa TV website.
