Nippon Benren provides free legal consultation for small and medium-sized enterprises New type coronavirus April 1 17:15

The Federation of Japanese Bar Associations and Japan Federation of Bar Associations has begun taking measures to provide free legal consultation to small and medium-sized enterprises on January 1, claiming that the cash flow of small and medium-sized enterprises has deteriorated due to the spread of the new coronavirus.

The Japan Federation of Foreign Affairs held a press conference in Tokyo on the 1st and announced that lawyers would take measures free of charge for legal counsel from small business owners from the 1st.

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus and the voluntary restraint of citizens going out, a growing number of small and medium-sized enterprises are losing their sales, deteriorating their cash flow, or being forced to suspend their business.

According to the JFBA, there have been several consultations regarding the payment of employees' salaries during working holidays and consultations regarding working capital.

In the future, a legal counseling service for workers will also be set up to accept consultations on suspension of employment, dismissal, and a significant reduction in salaries.

"The emergency may be unavoidable and some managers may be crying, but I would like you to consult with the counter," said Deputy Secretary-General Okukuni Nori, Nipponrenren.

The consultation desk is "Sunflower Hot Dial" = 0570-001-240, which is available from 10am to 4pm on weekdays.
