Actor Jang Geun-suk's mother was handed over to the court on charges of missing billions of taxes.
According to the legal community on the 1st, the 13th detective of Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Prosecutor Oh Jeong-hee) indicted Jeon Mo, the representative of entertainment agency Tri-J Company, on the 30th of last month on charges of violating certain economic crimes and aggravating the punishment law (Cho Seon-tal). According to the punishment regulations, the TRJ Company was also prosecuted for alleged violation of the Tax Offenses Act.
In 2012, Jeon is accused of missing tax reports by missing billions of income reports by drawing or using income earned by his son and celebrity Jang Geun-suk from overseas.
There is also a charge that hundreds of billions of dollars of sales in Japan were taken from a Hong Kong account in 2014. Prosecutors suspect that Mr. Jeon was evacuated offshore through a tax haven.
It is known that Jang Geun-suk, who is serving in the military as a social service agent, does not currently have an agency.
