Several national monuments are mobilizing to help healthcare personnel and professions in contact with the population to overcome the coronavirus. The National Library of France, The Louvre, the National Archives, Versailles, or even the Library of Strasbourg, all searched their reserves and restoration workshops in order to recover masks and gloves and distribute them to hospitals, fire stations , in detention centers. Indeed, these establishments have protections provided for all catering activities that require chemicals.

They also found masks in perfect condition, from previous orders. The BNF found protective boxes bought during the H1N1 avian flu in 2009.

For the moment, the Louvre has collected 500 pieces, the Strasbourg library, 300. Mobilier National has recovered 6,500 masks for the Pitié Salpêtrière hospital. Other means of protection: 12,800 pairs of gloves have been paid to the Regional Health Agency, which is responsible for distributing them.
