[Boel Westin / Astrid Lindgren Award Judge: The winner of the Astrid Lindgren Award in 2020 is Korean picture book writer Hee-Na Baek.]

The Astrid Lindgren Award, named after an author famous for "The Pippi Toe," is also known as the Nobel Prize for Children's Literature.

The artist, Bae Hee-na, who received an unexpectedly large award, sighed with relief.

[Baekheena / 'Cloud Bread' Writer: Honestly, I was losing confidence and some creative desire to doubt that I could rise again ... .]

This is due to a long lawsuit with the publisher, but the key to the argument is the so-called 'sold out contract', in which the author is given a certain amount of money and monopolizes all profits in the future.

It means that this 'sold out contract' was imposed on the new artist.

Moreover, the amount received by the author at the time was 18.5 million won, and the amount of controversy grew as it was ridiculously small compared to the profits of publishers.

The publisher said that it was a legitimate service contract with a new writer, and that the profit of 'Cloud Bread' was more than 2 billion won, but it was misrepresented as billions of won.

In January, until the second trial, the court raised the publisher's hand.

The artist gave great meaning to the lawsuit itself.

[Baek Heina / 'Cloud Bread' Writer: I started a lawsuit because I wanted to improve the environment of the new artists who are suffering from contracts and improve the problems.

The message of support continues to the meaningful achievements of the artists who fought against the publishing practice.
