Akita One more SDF member infection confirmed April 7 22:21 for seven people in the prefecture
It has been newly confirmed that men in their thirties who work at the Ground Self-Defense Force's garrison in Akita City are infected with the new coronavirus. Seven people have now been infected in Akita Prefecture.
The infection was confirmed in a male in their 30s working at the Ground Self-Defense Force's Akita Garrison.
According to Akita City and others, this male member had been inspected for one day as a close contact with a male member in her twenties who had been infected for 30 days. There are no symptoms such as fever, and I will be hospitalized for 2 days at a designated medical institution.
Akita City and others have determined that a family of three men in their thirties is a close contact, and will conduct an inspection in the future.
On the other hand, of the 21 Self-Defense Forces members at the garrison in Akita, who were regarded as close contacts of male members in their 20s, 19 people who were tested in Akita Prefecture were confirmed negative for one day. The remaining member is outside the prefecture and will be inspected for three days by the local government where they stay.
Akita City and others have decided to investigate the behavioral history of male members in their thirties and whether there are any other close contacts.
Seven people have now been infected in Akita Prefecture.
