He was hiding in the bathroom of the apartment located on the garden level, in the Rangueil district, in Toulouse. A 30-year-old man was arrested Sunday shortly before 9 p.m. by police from the Specialized Field Brigade (BST) south.
They had been alerted by the usual tenant of the accommodation, an 18-year-old student who had left to confine himself with his parents, in the Hautes-Pyrénées. The young man had noticed for several days that his Internet connection was used in his absence, before finally warning the police.
Clothes, shoes, multimedia
On the spot, the police discovered a forced shutter and, therefore, the thirty inside. He was not content to surf the Net at the expense of the student. The squatter had also stolen clothing and shoes, as well as multimedia equipment, and had sold everything to make some money, according to what he told the investigators.
Brought to the Toulouse prosecution on Monday, the intruder was to be tried this Tuesday in immediate appearance.
