There are important facilities such as petroleum liquefied gas storage and distribution stations (stock capacity of about 250 tons), two gas stations, four schools, and Xichang's largest department store. As of 00:00 on the 31st, the fire area was about 1,000 hectares, and the damage area was estimated to be about 80 hectares.
After the fire broke out, Xichang City, Liangshan Prefecture immediately launched an emergency response plan, set up a front-line headquarters, mobilized professional support from Ningnan, Dechang and other counties to the nearest support team, and organized various rescue forces to carry out a rescue operation of 2044 people. At the same time, more than 1,200 people in the surrounding area were evacuated urgently.
