Post office shortened business hours Self-sustained reception at night New Corona March 30 22:10

In response to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government calling for a refrain from going out at night in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, Japan Post will set up a post office in Tokyo to open hours at night until next month. I decided to shorten it.

The target is the post office window that is open at night and the “Yu-Yu window” where you can send and receive mail during non-business hours.

Opening hours are as usual, with closing times reduced to 7pm on weekdays and 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

For the 24 hours of the Yu Yu Window, the business start time will be reduced to 7:00 am, the end time will be reduced to 9:00 pm on weekdays and 6:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

This means that ATMs at post offices use ATMs and delivery of mail and luggage is normal.
