The fine for a second violation of non-compliance with the confinement rules within 15 days is raised to 200 euros, according to a decree of the Prime Minister published this Sunday in the Official Journal.

Failure to comply with confinement measures (travel, meetings, etc.) is liable to a fine of 135 euros. It is a 4th category ticket.

An increase to 450 euros

If a second violation of the confinement rules is noted within fifteen days, a 5th category violation may be noted. The decree brings the amount of this fine for a 5th category violation to 200 euros, the Interior Ministry was told.

This fine is increased to 450 euros if it is not paid within 45 days. The violation of confinement measures during the coronavirus period remains at 135 euros. On the second violation within 15 days, the fine is increased to 200 euros. If 4 violations are noted within 30 days, it is then an offense punishable by 6 months in prison and 3,750 euros in fines, the ministry was reminded.
