The epidemic continues to grow in Occitania with 270 new cases of Covid-19 coronavirus this Saturday, bringing to 1,823 the number of people tested positive in the region since the start of the epidemic. Currently 697 hospitalizations in progress including 210 in intensive care (24 more patients in the space of 24 hours).

The Regional Health Agency deplores 67 deaths in health establishments. That is to say six more deaths than the day before. To date, 314 patients have been able to return to their homes after passing through a hospital.

This Saturday, the authorities are also taking stock of the situation at the Aiguuerelles de Maugio nursing home near Montpellier. This establishment is strongly affected by the epidemic. The assessment is now heavy according to the ARS: among the 86 residents, 11 elderly people died after presenting positive Covid-19 results.
