Their playground is usually the auditorium. Confinement requires, the musicians of the national orchestra of Lyon are unemployed. This did not prevent them from bringing out their instruments. Twenty-six of them delivered a small videoconference concert. A four-minute video that was posted on social media on Friday by a horn player and then relayed to the ONL Facebook page.

The musicians spontaneously set themselves a small challenge: to play a piece together from a distance, despite the confinement. "At 26 musicians because at 104, it would have been a bit complicated," notes the orchestra.

Individual registration

Everyone at home, they interpreted La Marche des rois by Georges Bizet, recording themselves, before being all reunited in the video montage. "With friends, we missed playing together, so we did with the means at hand," says the young woman behind this publication.

And to add: "Hoping that this small musical contribution brings a little sweetness and good humor in your confined homes". Uploaded on Friday, the video already has more than 91,000 views.
