[Explanation] In late March, as the temperature continued to rise, Kazakh herdsmen in Altay, Xinjiang started an annual spring transition, and herdsmen rushed to move nearly a million cattle and sheep from the winter pasture to the spring pasture.

According to the unified deployment, this transition will begin on March 19 and will last for more than ten days. The herdsmen of Wulast Township, Jimunai County set off from Sawuer Dongwozi, and then drove their animals for nearly 100 kilometers to the Beishawo Spring Ranch.

[Contemporary] (Habihan, a herdsman of Wulast Township, Jimuno County) This year, due to the epidemic, the transition time is a bit later than before, but the weather has started to warm up. The sufficient forage we prepared did not have much impact. .

[Explanation] Considering that herders have been grazing in the mountains, local township cadres and village cadres have also formed epidemic prevention teams. Epidemic promotion and disinfection points have been set up at each transfer station along the way, and livestock inventory stations have been set up during the transfer. On the one hand, it prevents the destruction of the grassland, while helping herders to check their health.

[Same period] (Yerlan, Mayor of Wulast Township, Jimunai County) According to this livestock carrying capacity, we issued a permit and an information form to each household, especially herders. Now we are carrying out animal inventory work, and our medical staff We also measured the blood pressure and temperature of the herders who were transferred, and also performed medical services. Village epidemiologists carried out epidemic prevention and control work on the transferred animals.

[Explanation] Habahe County also specially formulated the transfer work plan, set up a transfer work group, and rode along with herders to escort along the way. Taking into account the long transfer time, long journeys and other issues, cadres in various townships and villages are still preparing transfer water for the transfer herders in advance.

The national and provincial roads are the must-go places for herders to transfer, and there are major safety risks. In order to ensure the smooth transfer of livestock, the policemen of the traffic police brigade of Jimunai County also set up a "herder transfer service team" to survey and mark the sections prone to geological disasters along the transfer in advance to remind herders to take safety protection.

Transfer is a production method of nomadic people. Herders migrate long distances for pastures every year. In the grasslands and alpine pastures of Xinjiang, pastures are zoning due to different altitudes in the mountains, and pastoralists have moved pastures to graze as the seasons change.
