American actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wesslon returned to the United States on Friday, weeks after they contracted the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19) in Australia.

The couple arrived in Los Angeles on a private plane and were very happy, according to TMZ, a celebrity news website, and The New York Post.

The newspaper said Hanks, 63, was seen stretching out a hand to touch the runway and then performing a festive dance after the plane arrived in Los Angeles.

Hanks and Wilson were transferred to the hospital for a short period in "Gold Coast", Australia, after tests confirmed their infection with the virus in the beginning of this month. Then the couple underwent self-isolation, but they were in contact with fans via Instagram.

The Oscar-winning actor and his wife were infected with the emerging corona virus while in Australia to film.

Hanks and Australian director Baz Luhrmann are making a film about the life story of American rock and roll legend Elvis Presley. Hanks is supposed to play the role of singer-director Tom Parker, singer. Filming was suspended due to infection with the Corona virus.
