When there is a problem of this magnitude, doctors fight "hand in hand", according to Patrick Wisniewski, director of a private clinic in Strasbourg and president of the federation of private hospitalization, who recalls the role played by establishments in the fight against the coronavirus.

"We must not try to oppose public and private establishments for the simple and good reason: the matrix which trains these doctors, it is unique", assures Patrick Wisniewski, director of private clinic in Strasbourg and president of the federation of the private hospitalization. At the microphone of the Big Evening Newspaper on Europe 1, he returned to the collaboration of private hospitals with public hospitals in the fight against the coronavirus.

A flawless solidarity, according to him, because "when there is a problem of this magnitude, the doctors find themselves by their belonging to a unique training which is that which was given to them in their course".

And it was "hand in hand" that, as of March 13, "private establishments joined forces and mobilized to offer their services", says Patrick Wisniewski, explaining that if some of them did not have resuscitation service, they converted those on watch to help. "Some have offered the services of their nurses, their caregivers, their doctors to public hospitals, and everything takes place under the coordination of what are called reference hospitals within regional hospital groups", details- he.

Territorial coordination of establishments

Regarding the private establishments which had regretted not being asked more, the director of the clinic explains that this was due to a very rapid mobilization of the private sector which made that some, ready to be mobilized, had to wait before knowing how to act. "Following the call for deprogramming (non-essential care) which was made on Friday evening March 13, we mobilized very quickly, and on March 20 or 21, most of the private establishments were within walking distance. works in the deprogramming, in the arming of resuscitation beds and were waiting to be solicited. There was perhaps a slight delay in the constitution of the territorial coordination of hospital group of territory which made that we had the 'impression that we were the weapon with the foot and we waited. But these things were settled for the most starting from Friday because practically all, on Friday, we were requested to welcome patients Covid ", is delighted- he.
