It is an exceptional convoy which will join New Aquitaine on Sunday. Two medical trains will transport 48 patients from the Grand Est with coronavirus, also known as Covid-19, to the region according to the Regional Health Agency. They will be cared for in 10 public and private hospitals.

"We must participate in the national effort when for the moment we are more spared than others by this epidemic," says Michel Laforcade, the director general of ARS Nouvelle-Aquitaine. A train will take the direction of Poitiers while another will join Bordeaux then Bayonne.

A military aircraft from Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin) landed this Friday afternoon in Bordeaux for a new medical evacuation of six patients with Covid-19. It was the second flight in the space of six days between the two cities.
