New Corona 60-year-old female confirmed infection 16 prefectures total Kani Gifu March 27 18:43
In Kani City, Gifu Prefecture, where infection of the new coronavirus continues to be confirmed, a new 60-year-old woman was confirmed infected on July 27, and the number of confirmed infections in Gifu Prefecture was 16 people. In and around Kani City, 11 members of the choir members and sports gym users, including those outside the prefecture, were infected, and Governor Furuta called for thorough countermeasures as a cluster had occurred.
At the Gifu Prefectural Office, the first meeting of the Gifu Prefectural Task Force based on the Special Measures Law enacted earlier at 4.30 pm was held with Governor Furuta.
At the meeting, a briefing was given on the status of infection in Gifu Prefecture, and it was reported on 27th that an infection in a woman in their 60s living in Kani City was newly confirmed.
It is the 16th person to be infected in Gifu prefecture.
According to Gifu Prefecture, the symptom is mild because this woman is a user of a sports gym in Kani City, where the number of infected people has been confirmed.
In Kani City, there are a number of infected people between members of two choirs and sports gym users who are active in facilities in the city. A total of 11 infections have been confirmed.
Governor Furuta has instructed the government to further strengthen its response, including thorough self-restraint of unnecessary and urgent outings, assuming that a cluster has occurred in Kani City.
Governor Furuta says, "I want the citizens of the prefecture to take thorough measures such as avoiding closed spaces, recognizing that there are various places that can become clusters."
