Negligence in accident investigation Misstatement in internal materials Police officers disciplined Police Agency March 27 15:40

Police officers from the Metropolitan Police Department have been disciplined for covering their lie in internal materials to hide that they have neglected to investigate traffic accidents.

The 60-year-old male police officer working in the traffic section of the Osaki Police Station of the Metropolitan Police Department was dismissed.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, in order to conceal that he had neglected to search for traffic accidents in December, the inside document included a lie indicating that he had completed the investigation and sent documents to the Public Prosecutor's Office.

The Metropolitan Police Department sent the documents on the 27th for suspected false false official documents, and sentenced them to a one-month disciplinary action. Inspector Liu has resigned.

He also neglected to search for two other traffic accidents and is suspicious of having made a similar lie statement.

The Metropolitan Police Department commented, "It is a shame that we will lose the credibility of traffic accident investigations. We will thoroughly manage our business and strive to prevent recurrence."
