Today marks the fifteenth anniversary of the death of Egyptian artist Ahmed Zaki, who died on March 27, 2005 after suffering from lung cancer.


Ahmed Zaki was born on November 18, 1949, in the city of Zagazig. He obtained a BA from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in the Department of Acting and Directing. He made his first appearance in the Hamada and Maha play in 1967 while studying at the institute. His first appearance was on the movie screen in my son’s film in 1972 In front of the artist Farid Shawky, as he had his first starring role before Souad Hosni in the film Shafiqa and Metwally in 1978 and then he made several prominent films.


Ahmed Zaki is considered the third most actor in the list of the best hundred Egyptian films in 1996, as he has six films in the list: the innocent, the wife of an important man, the love on the pyramid plateau, Alexandria Leih, the dreams of Hind and Camellia and the sons of silence, and Ahmed Zaki won several awards and honors from Among them is the Cairo Film Festival in 1990 and the Alexandria Festival in 1989.


Ahmed Zaki's work exceeds 90 works, between cinema, television and theater, and radio works at the beginning of his artistic career.
