“The leadership, the trade union committee of the Russian State Circus Company, with deep regret informs that yesterday in the 70th year of life, after a serious and prolonged illness, the national artist of Russia Yuri Kukes died,” the statement said.
The organization’s team expressed condolences to the artist’s family and friends.
Yuri Kukes worked for more than 50 years in the circus industry, he headed the theater "Grandfather Durov's Corner".
Earlier it was reported about the death of the Soviet and Russian clown, acrobat People's Artist of Russia Konstantin Vasiliev.
