The patient was a 31-year-old male and was employed by the Philippines. He passed the Philippines to Hong Kong and Macau on March 17, and was required to be observed at home by medical quarantine staff of the Health Bureau for 14 days. On the 26th, his throat saliva sample was tested by nucleic acid. The new coronavirus was initially positive.

Patients did not go to work and go out during home isolation, and there were independent suites to isolate them from contact with others. The patient's condition is normal. He has been taken by ambulance to the special emergency department of Macau Earl General Hospital for further throat swab testing.
