The juror of Top Chef spends his confinement with his family in the Dordogne, in his country house, where he takes advantage of it… to watch the M6 ​​show! "I take this opportunity to watch Top Chef because I had never watched it," admitted Philippe Etchebest.

"It's very good, I find this guy who shouts all the time extraordinary," he laughs. "But if I raise the tone it is not wrong, it is for valid reasons", assures the one who is also known for his legendary outbursts, as in the show Nightmare in the kitchen . "There is always an explanation. I try to debrief each time, to justify my rant and to make it constructive. There is a lot of education behind."

"I take this opportunity to cook small dishes for my family"

Philippe Etchebest also related his daily life during confinement, which he used to "do a lot of things" which he usually "did not have time to do". "I'm at the farm, so we have animals to exploit, we have to take care of them. From the moment we knew that the restaurant was going to close, we had to do something. We left Bordeaux to go there where we come on weekends (his restaurant is in Bordeaux, editor's note ) ", he explains.

"I can do a lot of things that I don't usually have the time to do, like cooking little dishes for them," confesses the star chef. "This morning I made a quiche with leftovers, a piece of Comté and a base of crème fraîche. Since I have chickens I had eggs, and I could make a dough. It was really with what was left in the fridge. "

"You must not undergo the event"

Philippe Etchebest also gave his advice to occupy its containment. "The days go by quickly enough because we structure them to avoid a routine. We also set rules, there are a lot of things to do. We get up at 7:30 am every morning, there are a lot of things to settle , emails etc ... I also play the drums, I take advantage of it to progress. I also play sports, three times an hour per week ", details the juror of Top Chef.
