Friday, TF1 was to broadcast the France-Ukraine football match ... but it will not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic. The devotees of Koh Lanta will be able to discover instead an episode of the adventure game: glop. But this episode will only last one hour and fifteen minutes (against more than two hours in normal times): no glop.

As Télé Loisirs reveals on its site this Wednesday, TF1 and the production company of Koh Lanta decided in "last minute" to cut the program in two, because of the health crisis. This allows "to extend the duration of the game during this period of confinement and [to] be able to offer the final in good conditions", write our colleagues.

The episode in question is particularly awaited since it is that of the reunification of the two teams. This Friday, the public will discover the duel of ambassadors which, for the first time, will involve two candidates from each "tribe" of adventurers as well as the participant eliminated after this meeting. Next Friday, the episode, which will also last 75 minutes, will show the immunity test that followed and will end with the departure of the adventurer designated by the counselor.

The Voice episodes also shortened

Télé Loisirs claims that only these two numbers are affected by the breakdown, but that the idea of re-cutting other episodes is not entirely excluded.

Koh Lanta therefore suffers the same fate as The Voice . TF1 and the production house of ITV Studios have put up the telecrochet “battles” since last Saturday. And that to "continue to (...) offer new numbers as long as possible", as tweeted by host Nikos Aliagas. The idea is to postpone the broadcast of the first live broadcast as late as possible.
