Ryohachi Kusaba, former Chief Justice, dies at 5:08 on March 21

Ryohachi Kusaba, director of the Supreme Court for more than five and a half years until 1995, died of senility this month. I was 94 years old.

Mr. Kusaba is from Fukuoka Prefecture, and after graduating from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tokyo, became a judge.

He has served as Secretary-General of the Supreme Court and Secretary of the Tokyo High Court, and became a judge of the Supreme Court in 1989.

He was appointed Secretary of the Supreme Court in February 1990 and served for more than five and a half years before retiring in November 1995.

In 1995, he was the presiding judge of the Lockheed case in the "Marubeni Route".

Former Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka has shown for the first time that the pursuit of purchasing a particular aircraft is equivalent to the prime minister's authority, and found the former Prime Minister guilty of receiving a bribe of 500 million yen. I accepted the judgment of the referee.
