By: Anne-Cécile Bras Follow | Igor Strauss

Gorilla FM is inaugurated this Friday, March 20, 2020, in the Kahuzi-Biega National Park, west of Lake Kivu near Bukavu.

Publicity

The aim of this radio station is to raise awareness of respect for the park, the protection of gorillas, the plains that live there and the improvement of the living conditions of pygmies who were driven out of the park, when it was created there 50 years.

How to reconcile the preservation of an endangered species, the Grauer gorillas, and the safeguarding of the Pygmy culture intimately linked to the forest?

It is a report by Igor Strauss.
