Canal + offers since Wednesday a new channel in its bouquet "information", the controversial but popular on social networks Russian news channel, RT France (the French-speaking version of Russian public television RT, ex-Russia Today), positioned on the channel 175 (or 180 with TNT dialing).

Launched in France on December 18, 2017, the channel was accessible until now via social networks as well as on the Free bouquet and that of Intelsat. The chain, as well as the Russian media Sputnik, was accused by president Emmanuel Macron of having behaved during the French presidential campaign "like organs of influence (...) and of false propaganda".

Available in around fifty countries, available in eight channels broadcast in six languages, RT has established itself in a little over a decade as a real player in international news channels.
