China has given researchers the green light to begin human clinical trials on a possible vaccine for the "Covid-19" virus, and China hopes from this step to develop a vaccine for the virus to keep people safe.
The People's Daily of China indicated yesterday that the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, under the Chinese People's Liberation Army, had obtained approval to start the early stages of clinical trials, the aim of which was to discover a vaccine against the "Covid-19" virus.
The Chinese Clinical Trials Database showed that the experiments will be led by Chen Wei from the Academy, in addition to the Hong Kong-based biotechnology company Kansino Biology. In addition, the database showed that the first stage will include a pilot vaccine safety test, by testing it on 108 volunteers. Healthy people between March 20 and December 31.
But China is not the only country that is doing its best to find a cure for this virus, as last Monday, scientists in the United States began clinical trials on a vaccine developed by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, in cooperation with the American Biotechnology Company «Moderna», in addition to France Germany, and Australia also claims that it is close to discovering a cure for the virus, as one of the patients has fully recovered and the virus has disappeared from his body.
