Recently, in Zaduo County, Qinghai Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, the source of the Lancang River, a local herdsman's eco-guardian rescued a grey crane during his patrol. Relevant experts said that he might have lost orders.

The gray crane is a national second-level protected animal in China. It prefers wetlands, swamps, and shallow lakes. It mainly breeds in the northeast and northwestern regions, and migrates to the south in winter. There is little information about the migration and habitat of the gray crane population in the source area of the Three Rivers.

Li Laixing, a researcher at the Northwest Plateau Institute of Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that gray cranes are migrating birds in Qinghai. The migration season will be disrupted by factors such as high air currents or sudden changes in weather. Some old, weak, disabled, and disabled travellers will appear sporadic .

The grey crane has now been released.
