A new coronavirus screening test has just been authorized in France. Ten times faster than the previous one, it would make about 1,000 to 1,200 tests in 24 hours. Available in city laboratories, biologists demand more protective equipment before they can use them.

A new coronavirus screening test, ten times faster than the previous one, was developed and authorized on Monday in France, in city laboratories. It is carried out, like the others, thanks to sampling in the nose or in the throat. But with this new device, it is possible to test more people at the same time and the result is obtained very quickly. About a hundred tests can be performed in three hours, or 1,000 to 1,200 in 24 hours.

These new devices will make it easier to distinguish bronchitis or Covid-19 flu syndrome. They will also allow medical personnel to return to work more quickly, by ruling out the coronavirus hypothesis.

Only downside, getting tested in the city is not yet yet. Biologists do not yet feel protected enough to analyze the samples. They demand masks, glasses and charlottes.
