On a night in which the artistic creativity of the Levant and the heritage of Algerian singing gathered, and on the anniversary of the birth of the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, the Al-Majaz Theater in Sharjah hosted, on Friday, the Lebanese artist Marcel Khalife, and the Algerian artist Souad Massi, in a special lyrical concert, within the new season of the evenings “Hala Al-Majaz »Hosted by the theater.

Algerian artist Souad Massi started her first stop on the stage of Al-Majaz Theater by giving the audience a greeting from her country with the song "Umniah", from her new album titled The Song itself, after which she began an extraordinary evening that enveloped her with her sweet voice and her calm music, to sing "My Life", which she followed with a song "Dab" in her Algerian accent, so that the audience could curl up with her song, "Everyday", with fast rhythms mixed with Algerian lyric folklore.

As an expression of the anguish of alienation and estrangement from the homeland, Massi performed a song in the French language, titled "The Mother Country", which was well received by the public for the high sensitivity she presented during it, to continue her creations, and to take the audience on a tour to the ancient Algerian "Kasbah" with the song "Talit" On the Well ”, after which the audience of the Al-Majaz Theater will be singled out with a song in the Tamazight language written by her mother, entitled" Thagari ", which means" Call of Unity ".

Massi did not stop creativity, as she sang "O my heart" sweetly in rhythm and melody, followed by a song dedicated to the spirit of her grandfather, entitled "My Grandfather's House", to present the song "Amissa", then she sang to her fans "Salam" in the Egyptian accent, then she excelled in "We recommend to you" O my heart, ”to conclude her concert with her wonderful" O narrator ", which found its way into the hearts of the audience who interacted with her and her musical band led by the conductor, Rabah Khalife.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the Algerian artist thanked the management of the Al-Majaz Theater for the opportunity to meet her fans on the land of Sharjah, present their beloved songs to them, and introduce them to the Algerian heritage closely, appreciating the efforts made by the theater in bringing together creators from different parts of the world to dialogue with art, music and creativity .

As for the artist, Marcel Khalife, who returned four years later to the Al-Majaz Theater, he opened his concert in his own way, with a musical introduction through which he set out to sing his masterpiece “National Get Out Of Us”, a poem by the Lebanese poet Talal Haider, to begin the ceremony with a special greeting directed to the soul of the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, as March 13 marks his 79th birthday, recalling his long history, his impact on the Arab and Palestinian literary scene, and his role in his artistic career. The son of the town of "Amchit" began to present his creations, where he sang wonderful Darwish "Rita and Venice", in which the audience participated, to sing for them after them, and not without enthusiasm and beauty "erect tall I walk", the poem of the late Palestinian poet Samih Al-Qasim, to take the attendance to Hot lanes and alleys of "Tango in the Eyes of My Love". Creativity did not stop there, so the actress Souad Massi went up on the stage, and the poem Mahmoud Darwish presents "The Most Beautiful Love", in her own way accompanied by Oud and the Marcel band, which she performed with a great feeling amid a big greeting from the audience, to complete the evening successor with the wonderful Talal Haider. Rakwa Arab ”, after which his son Rami Khalifa performed a musical link entitled“ Mass for Beirut ”, which was a salutation to his country, and Khalifa singled the theater, with his return, and sang for the mother, the poem“ I love to bake my mother ”, from the poems of Mahmoud Darwish, to say goodbye to Marcel his audience From the fishermen's port and its castle, it is wonderful. Khalifa had expressed his happiness for being on the stage of Al Majaz, and for meeting his fans after the absence of years, valuing the efforts made by the theater management in bringing the distances between artists and creators from all over the world to meet and offer their fans the most beautiful songs and musical pieces.

It is noteworthy that the Al Majaz Theater has hosted a group of musical talents over the past two years, including the Greek Yani, Julio Iglesias, the stars of Arab music Muhammad Abdo, Nawal Al Kuwaitiya, Hussein Al Jasmi and Balqees. The theater also hosted Ragheb Alama, Muhammad Assaf, Nabeel Shuail and Najwa Karam , Majid Al Mohandes, and other stars.
