The applause and the saucepans on the balconies of all Spain have begun to sound at 22.00 in tribute to the health workers. The initiative has spread through social networks throughout the day, following the example of other countries such as Italy

Thousands and thousands of Spaniards have come out tonight to their windows and balconies to thank with applause and cries of "viva" and "bravo" for the work of all the health professionals who attend these days in hospitals and homes for those affected by the pandemic of coronavirus.

The "tribute" had been convened throughout the day on social networks with messages asking citizens to dress "white" with towels, rags or sheets on windows and balconies and at 10:00 pm "applaud the toilets" who are attending to people affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

In many windows, terraces and balconies, the Spanish have applauded for several minutes and have waved white rags and handkerchiefs to pay tribute to the restrooms, as it has been seen live and in videos that have immediately circulated on social networks.

One of the calls -similar to those made in Italy- called to pay tribute to "our brave" doctors and health professionals, who are "our last trench, and are leaving every last breath for all of us."

"Spain in white for them so that tomorrow, when they return home broken, they know that we admire them," says the message.

Also tonight, at 9:00 p.m., there was a call for a "domestic karaoke", intended to be repeated every day with the idea that citizens would go out to the window to sing the theme Resistiré , by The Dynamic Duo, and then also applaud the health personnel.

At 9:00 p.m., as the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, began to speak on all television channels, many people went out to the windows to support this call, although some shouted that it was not, that it was "at 10 p.m. : 00 ".

Still, many intoned Resistiré , while many others chose to put on the national anthem and wave flags of Spain.
