Despite the risk of firefighting tasks, firefighters in the Thai capital, Bangkok, are tasked with carrying out no less dangerous tasks, which are catching snakes.

"I used to be afraid of snakes, but catching them has become part of my job now," said Venue Fucpigno, 50, a firefighter who works in Bangkok and is currently training colleagues in the art of handling snakes.

Venue explains that in 2019, there were about 33,000 reports of people in Bangkok about the presence of a snake near them.

On the morning of February, Venue responded to a distress call, coming from a house near his fire station, and the caller was crying out for the problem of a snake in his house. The owner of the house, from which the distress came, and named Thirat Navavivatsakul, noted that Vinyu rushed to rescue him about 10 times so far, as the snakes invaded his backyard constantly.
