Bertrand Usclat, humorist at the origin of Broute, video media which parodies Brut, was on Europe 1, Thursday, at the microphone of Matthieu Noël in L'Équipée Sauvage, to explain his approach.

INTERVIEW

"I've always tried to play it without being accused of spreading fake news!" Bertrand Usclat, the humorist at the origin of the parody media Broute, is not hiding. Guest of Matthieu Noël in L'Equipée Sauvage on Europe 1, he admits to using the possible confusion between the Brut and Broute video media to be impactful. This is even the essence of his sketches!

How many have been caught relaying information made up from scratch from the parody site Le Gorafi? Broute, a travesty of the Brut online media, is also surfing the line between information and humor. Even if people take some of his videos in the first degree. Besides, "it happened a lot at the start", explains Bertrand Usclat, "but much less today, now that the program is installed". And for good reason, in addition to the square format on social networks, Bertrand Usclat also broadcasts his sketches on Canal +.

"This is a travesty"

The site also attacks some others who, themselves, voluntarily maintain the doubt, "with almost false titles". On television, there is a solution to remove all suspicion, the appearance on the screen of the mention: "This is a travesty". But it is out of the question for Bertrand Usclat to resolve to indicate that his sketches ... are sketches! "The 'This is a travesty'," he says, "I think it kills the program."

With the virality of his videos, the humorist inevitably draws criticism when he tackles themes such as feminism, veganism or "the start-up spirit". And it is not his next subject that will appease his spectators since it is a topical theme: confinement. After a first video by Bertrand Usclat on the coronavirus, get ready for the second!
