One crew member of the cruise ship Diamond Princess, which was confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus, was found to be newly infected.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, this crew member was a Japanese woman in her twenties, who was tested negative for the virus and went down a cruise ship before staying at an accommodation in a country in Wako City, Saitama Prefecture.

By the 12th, another virus test confirmed that the infection had occurred. The woman was hospitalized and had no symptoms such as fever or cough.

On the other hand, 83 passengers in addition to the woman were tested and all were negative, so we plan to leave the accommodation one after another.

The number of confirmed cruise ship passengers and crew members was 697, excluding those found to be infected after returning home.
