The Parisian institution is going to make a small at the port Canto, east of the city of festivals - Prospect Design

It was in this Parisian institution, frequented in their time by Ernest Hemingway or even Jean-Paul Sartre, that the Bloody Mary and the Blue Lagoon were invented. Harry's Bar, presented as "the oldest cocktail bar in Europe", will be set up in Cannes, the town hall announced on Wednesday.

Harry's Bar Cannes will cover an area of 127 m2 with a 150 m2 terrace at Port Canto, east of the city of festivals, at the end of Boulevard de la Croisette. It will open in June 2020 during the Cannes Lions festival, it is specified.

"International in terms of its fame and human in terms of its size, this city is without a doubt the ideal place to develop a sunny and Cuban version of our know-how," explains Franz-Arthur MacElhone, great-grandson of founder of Harry's bar, and former patron of the city of Cannes.
