Swedish actor Max Von Sydow died on Sunday at the age of 90, his wife announced, confirming information from Paris Match. Max Von Sydow had a career rich in supporting roles in Hollywood, in particular in "the Exorcist" or "Shutter Island".

"It is with a broken heart and with infinite sadness that we have the extreme pain of announcing the departure of Max Von Sydow on March 8, 2020," announced producer Catherine Von Sydow, also the actor's wife, on Monday. It thus confirms information from Paris Match .

Max Von Sydow had worked in a dozen films by his compatriot Ingmar Bergman, notably in "the Seventh Seal", released in 1957. He then began a career rich in supporting roles in Hollywood. He had played for example in "The Exorcist", "Minority Report" or even "Shutter Island".
